Things don't seem to be so bad at Fishguard. Perhaps it's the fact that passengers need a bus in Holyhead to get to the ferries? I've arrived in Fishguard 15mins before the ferry departed and been OK.

Perhaps ATW will have a rethink on the conenctions once they see how much they are having to pay out!

You're right. In my opinion Luton is no more a London airport than Bristol is.

I find this a perplexing move. It seems confusing and the distillation of a name that has become recognisable all over the world. I don't see the point.

I used Luton once. Never again. It took me 4.5 hours to get form Central London to Central Amsterdam via a bus, a train, another bus, a flight then another train. Far too much hassle and a generally uncomfortable airport.

I believe that there will be a market for rail between London and Amsterdam. There is now. That doesn't mean that services will have the same effect as has been felt on the Lonond to Paris or London to Brussels routes. Flying will still be attractive, particularly so for those who are living or...

I do hope that this is permanent. As I said earlier, it would be an improvement not just for foot passengers, but for those of us sad cases who like a night out in Carmarthen from time to time!

It's nice to have a choice between demand based pricing on high speed trains and fixed pricing on slower services. It wouldn't work with the Channel Tunnel, though.
