    i would have thought that the platforms between newcastle and Glasgow (apart from Edinburgh Waverley) where too short for the gner eurostars, they struggle enough fitting the coaches into the longest platform at Kings X.

    that surprises me, although everytime i have traveled on the ECML i tend to see "one" liveryed 317's at hornsey depot but to see one going to Peterborough is suprising unless it was a stopper, but other than that, thats suprising as they are only capable of 75mph HBA135
