    Hornby Elite

AFAIK the firmware update is to do with reading the CV values properly. The Elite seems a good system, Model Rail's review certainly a swaying factor as is the dual control, in honesty Im not sold on the Dyanmis and its "joystick" style control....whats wrong with rotary knobs? Lenz are a pretty...

    New Route Layout

I would advice you to use as much space as you have and stay away from set track becuase after a while the tailchasing layouts get boring. Mine is a loop with a station, goods yard and depot nestled inbetwwen with scenic breaks makes it interetsing to watch.

    New Route Layout

Peco do AWS ramps 2 for about £1.50. Hornby do some Scaledale lineside stuff which is quite good. Knightwing do a lot of modern image ideal stuff so well worth a look with them (can be sourced from Gizmogles expressmodels link). Signs of the Times (closed last month sadly) was am excellent...

    Acrylic paint

Acrylic is also non-toxic and water soluble I think? (well mine are) so **** ups when weathering are easily washed off.

    DC to DCC

DCC is the way to go, but I cant stress how important it is to kep your old DC controller. Remember before you do chip a train to DCC always ensure it's been fully run in on DC before converting it to DCC!

    Layout Themes

I tend to try and include as much as I want from a layout and fill any spaces with what would be appopriate - current layout has terminus station, dmd and goods yard!

    Hornby 2007 Range
