Do the 221s only do Bradfords ie no Sunderlands? So if I booked a Sunderland service it would certainly be a 180?

So realistically they could probably operate most routes in the UK subject to clearance? Just the clearance work hasnt been done because it hasnt needed to be done at this point but it could largely be a paperwork exercise? I’m guessing Buxton and Cumbrian Coast would probably be a no go area…...

Does anyone know what lines 755s are cleared to operate? Also which lines have they been on? I’m aware they have done London Liverpool Street to Norwich and Clacton but have they/can they do lines to Braintree, Southend, Southminster?

Does anyone know why they have opted for bi modes when the MML is supposed to be electrified (if it is completed)? Is it for diversionary flexibility or to do the runs via Corby, or simply because we didn’t/dont know MML wiring will be complete at the time of ordering?

I know and 22 years later it still hasn’t been solved. It wasn’t too bad when the core was hourly instead of half-hourly up until the May timetable change just gone and now the HSTs are going I can’t see that making things better!

I know they are dictated to by the government but I’m sure we will agree the instructions don’t make a lot of sense when cross country have for a long time suffered with severe overcrowding.

Like I say it’s possible but highly unlikely. Should just keep the HSTs as DaFT obviously don’t know or care about how dire XC capacity is! I did however read a comment somewhere that they had a home to go to so was wondering if this was the case and if so did anyone know where?

Anyone know what is to become of the 180s now they’ve been withdrawn by EMR and looks like the GC ones are to be replaced by AWC 221s? I highly doubt it but Maybe XC to provide some extra capacity for now or maybe wishful thinking as we could do with the capacity?

I have been wondering this question as I only ever saw them going as far as Gillingham, but usually only Salisbury. I did find some photos on google of some at EXD, but did one ever make it to Bristol or Paignton/Plymouth/Penzance?
