From what I’ve read on Facebook tonight, it’s by road. A Colas driver stated that the flow to Sinfin will restart next month, presumably operated by Colas. A Colas 67 was down the branch earlier today route learning.

Recently, on one of the railway groups on Facebook, someone mentioned that oil trains to the RR facility at Sinfin had ceased. I checked RTT, and realised that the trains no longer run. As RR needs aviation fuel to test its engines, how are they receiving their oil now....road or pipeline...

Sounds great. But how are SWT cascading stock? I thought they needed their 158/9s? Are they going to run the rest of the fleet harder?

350s in general or just the /2s? 350/2s on the Trent Valley are not good.

When I travelled on the line last year, I was the only through passenger. Dumfries was the hub. Glasgow people got off there, then Dumfries locals got on, the bulk of whom went to Carlisle.

Like a lot of long distance services, you have infrequent travellers. They get on with two huge wheely suitcases and then dawdle in the vestibule or the gangway, which hinders people getting on and delays the service.

What's the usual traction? 170s?
