Never assume the railways are a logical entity! Or something along those lines from Roger ford. Would not surprise me to see them scrapped at all.

I find them very acceptable and enjoy them a lot more than the 150s, 156s and 155s. 158s and 170s are better though.

Matter of personal opinion, I happen to think they look nice.

Also as someone who travels between Leeds and Manchester ever day using TPE, the current provision is matching demand almost perfectly in fact sometimes the trains are too empty. No saving pounds at all. Just sensible services to be honest.

Indeed. Very off topic so will leave it, there will be news articles appearing on the kwvr website soon from the engineers involved. But the units won't go further than Ingrow is the key point to this topic.

Some more heading there now as 5G11. Doesn't appear in real time trains but is just now on the fast lines between northallerton and Thirsk.

Just on platform 3 and down towards boundary with network rail. Can't put them anywhere else as the line is currently stuck under a possession due to the big hole at Ingrow.

Having now started regularly commuting on the 802s I must confess I think they are very good. The seats don't get uncomfortable at all in the 90 minutes i spend on them. Interior noise and vibration on diesel significantly better than the 185s. But most of all the 5 carriages appear to swallow...
