Faulty weekly season ticket replacment possible?

Just show it at the gateline. I doubt they'll swap a weekly.

    Contactless declined

So an error on your part means they are a con? Hmmmm. You realise that soon all cards will be contactless. Providing non contactless is an extra cost and at some point the banks will decide that they will stop providing non contactless cards.

    Trainline charges to be cut?

I disagree that credit cards are bad news. They have their place. They give mortgage lenders a credit profile which allow them to make a forecast of your creditworthiness. This keeps mortgage rates down for high street lenders. Also you get consumer protection when buying with a credit card...

ScotRail will be switching flexi passes (carnets) from paper to smart cards

Good for them. It is a very positive move that should benefit both TOC and honest passenger.

    New Ticket Design Launched

I just looked at my tickets from thursday and noticed that too although the wording on mine was Portsmouth&Southsea or Harbour Personally I like the restrictions being clearer but the design of the tickets is awful.

    Gatwick Express Delay Repay

The cheaper slower service that took precisely 1 minute longer than the GatEx service normally does. The 20:17 is timed to reach GTW in 31 minutes, the 20:30 is timed to reach GTW in 30 minutes. Perhaps that's a lesson for the future.. Is it worth the premium? Also IIRC it'll also be a no...

what should a new generation guards EPOS system do?

OK That's a fair assumption to begin with. With you so far, but include Oyster in that as an option It has already been determined that Revenue is a commercial use, therefore would not be allowed to use GSM-R (which is 2.5G anyway) There you have a problem. Every station would need to be...

    SWT Rugby delays

SWT's passenger charter states the following SWT aren't in the delay repay scheme so may not compensate you at all for a 35 minute delay...

Delayed by 29 minutes... Worth a delay repay form?

Missed connections count for delay repay IIRC, as long as you allowed the minimum connection time for that particular station.

Delayed by 29 minutes... Worth a delay repay form?

I very much doubt that'll happen. 29 minutes to most people is half an hour. The worst that'll happen is VT will say no.

Delayed by 29 minutes... Worth a delay repay form?

It's worth a punt, as VT are normally pretty good with customer service.

Rail operators forced to tell passengers how to get cheapest fare - Telegraph

Will it recognise cheaper fares with split tickets. For example, it was cheaper for me to travel from Petersfield to Horley by buying two separate anytime day returns. One from Petersfield to Gatwick airport, and the second from Gatwick airport to Horley. Oh and the guard on the SN service...

Rail operators forced to tell passengers how to get cheapest fare - Telegraph

The only possible thing is if the TOC cheaper out and bought a TVM without much memory. However they must be online to retrieve TOD details so a link to a remote database should cover it.

    Petersfield to Horley

I have to ask who sets these fares? I'm back at the old place at the moment and need to get the train to work tomorrow. An anytime day return from PTR to HOR costs £32.10 (not via London) However an anytime day return from PTR to GTW costs £21.30 and an Anytime Day Return from GTW to...
