London Underground: Tube and bus fares see biggest hike in a decade

That’s easy. The electric taxation class exists, it’s just zero rated. Change the rating and you can apply VED like any other car. As regards electricity. It’s impossible to do it on home charging but public charging already pays 20% VAT.

    TFL & "Managed Decline"

I’m an EV driver. Why shouldn’t I pay the CC? My car may not have tailpipe emissions but it still causes congestion. It’s a congestion charge. I should pay the same as an ICE car. ULEZ is different as that is an emissions charge.

Tube staff plan five days of strikes

And where do you think that regulation came from? It came from the Unions lobbying government. The Tories would love to scrap a lot of that as would UKIP! OK I have no issue with this. As long as people can prove they are actively seeking work. I'd rather not have that system

Tube staff plan five days of strikes

Have you seen the job market lately? All zero hour contracts and minimum wage. Dumping thousands onto the dole would not help. I am thankful that in my industry there are unions (and I am a member despite not supporting the Labour party) who fight for me to have some basic rights. We've...
