I was under the impression that it was down to the train manager as to whether to allow you to travel. Not sure how that works if you are unable to speak with the Train Manager because the ticket gate staff won't let you get to the train mamnager

Yes that is the correct amount. I did ask the train manager on the Manchester to Leeds train about endorsing the tickets and he said there was no need. This was also stated by the person on the information kiosk on Leeds Station.

I have already submitted a claim via the TransPennine portal. There was no problem about submitting copy images of the tickets for each portion of the journey. The portal asks you what journey you are making and the shows up the same journey plan as shown by the National Rail Journey Planner...

According to RailDar the actual departure time of the second train was 11.45:28.

Use National Rail journey planner and put in Preston to London(any Station) going via Doncaster. There are advance fares showing which may be of use. I've had a similar problem trying to find tickets from EUS to MAN on Saturday 29th.

So are you saying the TOC has to abide but what is stated in Q22 as quoted by blackfive460. The answer given by hairyhandedfool appears to contradict what blackfive460 is saying, or is there something very subtle that I'm missing here.
