    I wouldnt rely, they on Northern very unreliable . If you have to go on the Sunday, the easiest maybe National Express, and get a refund on your train ticket. There must be several coaches a day from Liverpool to London. I guess could be booked up now of course.

    You could get off at Cressington which is quite a nice station, and walk past the large houses in that area, which leads.you down some villas overlooking the river.

    My experience on Avanti in first wasnt as good as Virgin. Wish GWR offered me a sandwich, was pretty hungry by the time I got to Exeter.

    No not really, think I glanced at their website and it looked quite appealing, but I wouldn't bother with first on them again. That's a shame about the SWR FC, was very comfy, even nodded off.

    I like Liverpool to West Kirby, City to the Sea in such a short trip, with a walk over to Hilbre Island where you can sea the seal, its a lovely day out.
