Well that true, however it's not unreasonable for people of Liverpool and North Wales to expect direct services as they always did in the past. If they go to Manchester they should be going to Liverpool, which is much closer.

I use it from Frodsham to Liverpool and a lot of people use it from there, but it's disappointing that direct services from Liverpool to North and South Wales that were promised are still not there, years later.

Its very poor. Connections between Liverpool and Crewe are really pretty bad 1 ( sometimes 2 ) LNWR , and 1 Avanti...thats if they aren't cancelled. Yes the 7 30 Avanti ex Lime St was cancelled, so they all got on the next LNWR , which I got on, unfortunately it was only 4 carriages .

Travelled to Birmingham today from Acton Bridge, the 07.59, was packed , only 4 carriages . Turns out the 07.30 Lime Street to Euston was cancelled, so even worse than it would be. I see my.return this afternoon at 15.34 also only 4 cars rather than the normal 8. Still no 30 min service, so...

They have been pretty poor coming up with the goods on this service so far.

I've contacted the LCR mayor about it, as I believe the funding for the Halton curve project was if not wholly, the greater proportion was funded by the city region. It can't be right that the then awarded franchise, just doesn't do what was projected.
