ÖBB offline timetable discontinued

ÖBB will not be offering their HAFAS offline software for the timetable starting 13.12.2015

DB discontinued their offline HAFAS planner over a year ago.
ÖBB doing the same means that there is now no offline Europe wide software available for PC. Not the end of the world I suppose and we still have the Rail Planner app for mobile devices.

Nice offline; but if in between trains travel at other times or are stopped, one does not get an update?!

That's a shame, always a very useful bit of software - will make my foreign trip planning a bit more difficult now!

It is only in Slovakian and does not have all the stations/lines that HAFAS did but is easy to understand and use. Here are a couple of examples:

Only main stations appear when you start the programme. To be able to type in many more stations make sure "stanice (vlak)" is selected in the drop down menu next to Zoznam near the top on the left. This menu may disappear. If so it can be brought back by clicking anywhere in the "Cez" (via) box whether or not anything is written there
