How many 150/1s have so far left Bristol as part of the DMU cascade? Have they all gone to Northern?

The details are on the Forum but are buried in multiple threads so difficult to find quickly Anyway, to answer your question, 6 have physically left but others transferred but at Barton Hill for work first. After this weekend 3 more should have left leaving 4 left, the last one due to go on 14/04.

So far reported up here are 150101/02/22/23/24/29. I personally have only seen 150122 in service but have seen other reports that 150101 is as well.

150926 is also still operating as a hybrid unit in GWR territory. Just saw it working a Newport to Taunton service.

I ended up on 150925 yesterday to from Newport to Trowbridge. The carriage I was in had no heating and stank of diesel fumes after leaving Keynsham! Noticed that a WiFi box had been installed in the carriage I was in (57125) though it wasn’t working. Must be a recent addition though as only the 150/2 centre cars had it fitted previously.

You must be the only person who found and travelled from Cardiiff on a Taunton train today.
That was habit as that is where that train usually comes from. Newport to Taunton then, got on at Temple Meads.

150101 was on the Mid-Cheshire line yesterday.
150123 was spotted on a Liverpool - Oxford Road stopper yesterday

06:23 Buxton to Wigan and 06:50 Buxton to Clitheroe could do with being strengthened by one of these freed-up units with immediate effect even if the second unit is detached at Bolton and goes back to depot for the off-peak period, the latter more desperately (the former can just about still cope as 2-car but 4-car would be a far better look as it still arrives in Piccadilly during peak period albeit the early phase thereof).
Alternatively, make one or more of the Mid-Cheshire Line workings semi-permanent 4-car during the week.

I had 150204 and 150101 from Man Picc to Gathurst earlier. It departed MAN at 16:35. I was sat in 57101 which sounded a bit rough when departing from stations but was ok when at speed.

What were the loadings like?

Not to worry, I knew what you meant:D:D
The remaining 150/1s were certainley about in the Bristol area Saturday. I caught 3 different ones a 2 carriage from Worle to Bristol Temple Meads working a Bristol Parkway service which was particularly tatty, a 3 carriage from Bath Spa to Bristol Temple Meads which was absolutely rammed and 150926 from Bristol Temple Meads to Worle. I won't be sad to see these go they're tatty and uncomfy compared to the GWR 150/2s. The only saving grace Saturday was the Bristol Temple Meds to Bath Spa leg on a Turbo in the declassified First Class section doing a Westbury service.

105,107 and 109 might move to northern either later this year or next year.

Next year I’d think. With the Leamington shuttles soon to add an extra unit to the daily 153 requirement there’s no way WMT would let the 150’s go.

Sounded a little rough? From my experience of the Northern fleet it's preparing to fight itself right in then. That said I think 101 could have been one of the lesser used 150s at GW.

I wouldn't have thought that would be a decision down to WMT to make though - given that the GW 150/1s are leaving when GW needs them just as much, but Northern had already signed the leases for them.

The Vivarail project will reduce the DMU requirement by 1x150 and 1x153 and is still expected to go ahead at some point this year :)

150.122 was on Calder Valley services on Saturday (17 Feb.). Still in First GW (blueish) livery but with branding removed.

Slightly off topic I know but 150238 has large pink bicycle symbols on the saloon windows of the 57 car nearest the cab end.

Not noticed if any other units have it.

150219 does too I believe - the green GWR 150s may have it in another colour

219 and 238 are the only (apart from 265 currently being done) 150/2s that are not yet in new GWR Livery

150124 and 150129 were in service on Thursday, apparently it was 129’s first day.
