Just one bit of track for me so far this year.

10/02

Ordsall Chord.

The only other Network Rail passenger line required is the new deviation at Forres and unfortunately I don't think I will be able to do this anytime soon.

I don't see why not. I'd say anything railway or tramway counts...

Pleasantly surprised to see the thread is getting some use - bit surprised that I seem to be the only one counting it from the specific junctions where the "new track bashing" starts and finishes though ( unless of course those stations listed in the above posts are literally the start and finish points of the new track coverage for the individuals concerned. :) )

Probably most posters can't be bothered to check the names of the junctions!

Until fairly recently, my route coverage was literally the WCML in full, the Fort William Caledonian Sleeper route and most of the Northern Rail network west of the Pennines. So yes, my track coverage is/was shameful but improving now.

Burton on Trent to Lichfield direct is my score for 2018 so far. (one train a week does this on a Sunday morning and I had two failed attempts when it was either cancelled or diverted via Tamworth).

Just two very small bits. The first was the crossover next to Buckshaw Parkway that the starting services to Manchester now use and the second was the line into platform 4 at Rochdale.

I've been travelling by rail for many years & have been on most of the passenger rail networks in this country in my time. That said, more recent re-openings andnewbuild keeps me on my toes!:D

My last bagged bit of track was the curve at Bicester in mid May this year. Ebbw Vale is on the hit list in August.
