166206 (last one at long last!)
800035 (cost me a last minute £8.30 fare!)

4 more 800/0s to go now, victory is getting closer...17 GWR IETs to go all in, including 11 802/0s and 2 802/1s. The chase is starting to get boring...

How many Unit classes have you completed now? Nearly most I would think.

With so many new ones around these days, there's plenty to go for. Never did finish the 142s or 144s, couldn't be bothered with them. Still need some 150s! 153s, I've no hope with finishing them. 156s, still plenty of them to get. 158s, still a fair amount to go but that'll happen eventually. 165s, too many of them to count on Chiltern. 168s, only need 1 more. Same with 170s and 185s. 222s, I need 12 of them but it's just too much effort.

Plenty of EMU classes I'm nowhere near done with, but yeah I'm not overly fussed on some of them.

800027

Popped down after lunch, saw this roll in and thought it sounded familar from an update of my needs list recently. A check revealed it was a winner, so a quick check of options and travel was purchased. 3 more 800/0s to go, 16 GWR IETs all in, the need to head to either the Thames Valley or to Devon for my 802s is getting close...

Not a bad idea!

More likely I'll be walking around regularly and/or reading a book. Hopefully by the time I get to Reading for a Thames Valley hunt I'll not need any 9-cars. We'll see what happens of course, although I do like the idea of hunting 802s in Devon more...

Only need 322482 and that class will be done.
Likewise I'm down to just 3 155s required for haulage (343, 344 and 345).

Azuma sub class 800/2 cleared.

I really need to try and make a start with the 800/2s as I haven't sampled one yet. Maybe a job for a West Yorkshire Day Ranger later in the year on a weekend where LNER is running a full service

A strange couple of hours in Edinburgh today 24.02.20. After initially planning to cover the metro in Newcastle I ended up in Edinburgh. (Didn't fancy bashing in the snow). 2 hours produced the following winners with lots of brisk walking at Haymarket and Waverley. 801108 was also a winner GRA-NNG

I’m gradually beginning to like the 800/801/802 stock. It’s pretty easy for me to nail the Azumas I must admit as I live on the ECML. A 7 day East Mids is useful and offers up enough routes to stop any repetitiveness setting in and also being able to sleep in your own bed each night keeps the money outlay down.

I did look into that East Mids rover as it does cover Peterborough to Doncaster on the ECML which will cover pretty much everything other than the hourly fast to York services.

And of course is also useful for Hull 802 newbies between Donny/Retford/Grantham.
