Well yes but that does not change is his age for being in the cab surely.

I understand they most likely would let you but it is twisting the rules.

...Beaker, he is on work experience with South West Trains helping out guards, so surely he has to shadow a guard. He helps a guard do his duties, so therefore he'd need to go in the rear cab, surely?

It's quite clearly the rear cab, and as he is on Work Experiance it'd be fairly safe to assume that he was being accompanied by someone fairly competant!

If you are accompanied by someone with the right cab pass and job title then it is perfectly legal! ;)

Kevin my firend did the same on his W/E using a cab pass on his work experience in the cab of a 90.
