Hi guys,

Can anyone confirm if the following tours are running? All are scheduled to depart London Euston on 2nd April so if they are it would make for a pretty amazing day, three on the same day.

1). http://statesmanrail.com/winter-west-highland-statesman-2-april-2016.html

2). http://www.railwaytouring.net/uk-day-trips/the-cumbrian-mountain-express-02-04

3). http://www.steamdreams.co.uk/Execut...r=71818&Route=1&Adults=2&Children=0&Infants=0

Many Thanks,
Leo

At least one of them looks like it's supposed to run under West Coast Railways but given the fact that West Coast are currently banned from operating most likely one or more of these tours will be cancelled.

AFAIK all these are booked to be operated by West Coast, so unless West Coast sub-contract in another operator they will almost certainly be cancelled, because there is virtually no chance of the ORR lifting West Coast's suspension before then. Best advice would be to contact the promoters, because they will have the best idea of whether these tours will run.

Don't bank on seeing 86259 on it though if it does run, more likely to be a class 90.

I don't mind what it is, as long as it isn't a 66! When you come from the GWML, anything is better than the diesels you see here. Thanks for the information so far, so only one out of the three will run you believe?

ORR have today lifted the ban on WCRC so looks like these tours will be running.

1Z49 is the Statesman so will be West Coast Class 47/57s. 1Z86 should be 86259. 1Z61 will be West Coast 47s (now steam on at Crewe) and the Liverpool trip will be an 86 or 87.
