Hi,

Can anyone advise about renumbering.

319164
319169

What were their alternative numbers?

Also if anyone has a full list of 319 renumbering that would be brilliant.

Thanks in advance :)

319164 became 319364 now in sevice with Northern

319169 became 319369 also in service with Northern.

The original batch of 319's were originally numbered as the 319/0's built in 1988. The second batch of 319's were originally numbers as the 319/1's built in 1990.

The newer batch were remembered into 319/3's upon their refurbishment

The older batch were split into the 319/0, 319/2 and 319/4 upon refurbishment.

Hope this helps.

319.001 - 319.060 originally built as two batches concurrently between April 1987 and Aug 1988. 319.161 - 319.186 also built as two batches (from memory) between Sep 1990 and March 1991.

Things got complicated with numerous refurbishments/renumbering but 319.014 - 319.020 became 319.214 - 319.220 for the Connex (Brighton) Express and 319.021 - 319.060 were refurbished as 319.421 - 319.460 and had first class added whilst 319.161 - 319.186 were refurbished as 319.361 - 319.386 and had first class removed. Can't remember dates but late 1990s/early 2000s I think. 319.001 - 319.013 were largely untouched and retain their original numbers to this day.
