overnight a fire at paignton bus station resulted in 3 buses being destroyed. dont know ant more details, sorry.

16044, 16775 and 47106(?) the vehicles involved. SC lucky that it was Olympians destroyed and not something newer.

Same thing happened with the "depot" at Biggleswade a few years back - someone threw a cigarette out of their car on the A1 above and somehow a few buses exploded as a result..

It's 16064 that's been burnt, not 16044 ;)

Always had a soft spot for 16064, here's a photo I took of it in happier times at Tiverton Bus Station:

We've got a sister bus here in the Forest R18x VPU, often turns up on the 24. Are they ex-london (or other major city) by any chance, that have got dispersed throughout the country?

Yes.
P-SEV, R-VPU, R-HHK, R-EVX are just some of the registration batches that I can think of that have come out of London.

Fuel and engine oil allowed to build up on the ground? You could light the fumes of some bus sheds ive seen.
