For anyone interested in what a green powercar will look like, 43126 is at Laira now in green vinyls advertising Bristol - Green Capital 2016 (or something to that effect)......

Or just look through historic pics for the Great Western Livery in the 1990s...

I think the white front will get dirty pretty quick, but anything different is always welcome!

East Coast had style with their vinyls. FGW really struggle, in fact for a premium IC operator I'd go as far as saying that what I have seen to date is just tacky, plain and simple.

My shot of 43126 this morning. Looks very good in my eyes but the white won't stay white.

Peter is right about the Silverlink look. I think it would look better with a new GWR base coat of green, rather than FirstGroup purple

Great! White! Now... I wonder what happens when you get a birdstrike or worse?

A 150 would have worked better, this doesn't suit the HSTs angles, and that white front is a silly idea!

Saw an image of this on the HST Photography Group on Facebook. I agree with the comments on the photo that said that it looks like a HST with a Santa's beard. Haha.

Thanks,
Ross

What annoys me more than the white front is the upwards white swoosh on the side that looks like it should carry onto the front but is instead cut off by the yellow

Makes it look unprofessional. But then what do you expect from Worst Group?

It just makes the yellow front look like an afterthought/something added later, which it clearly isn't so why have the white swoosh back up :?

IMO they should've had the white swoosh go down, avoiding the front completely and had green/blue instead

Are there any tickets left for that bandwagon?

Na, they sold out within 2 minutes of going on sale.

In other news 66155 delivered a HST rake in the new colours to Laira at about 05:00 this morning. I have to say I am completely underwhelmed by the new livery, as for 43126, pass the bucket please!:oops:
