Hmmm, wish I brought my camera to school, knowing the crappy history of 442 drags, I should have known that they'd be at least an hour late!

Who cares only 47841.........HEAP!

Definatley won't run today, remember Basingstoke is in possession, so it would have to divert down the Pomepy line, of which Cotsworld who are oddly running it with 47818 have no route knowledge (neither do Freightliner). My guess is it will run down on Tuesday, as Basingstoke is still in possession on Bank Holiday Monday.

I know at least 2 Freightliner drivers from Eastleigh with knowledge of the Pompey direct, Netley road, Botley road. I'm sure 1 of them signs 47's aswell

I strongly suspect it will run Tuesday - there is a 5X43 in from Bourno-Ilford, usual times - question is will this leave on time, passing the refurbed one on the way, or will the refurb come back first, delaying the departure...

We shall have to wait and see...

is it not possible that Freightliner have just hired in a cotswold 47 due to unavailbe traction from their own pool.

the 47's they operta always look dirty and shaby and i doubt that this is just exterior.
im certain that they are not maintaining their non 66 fleet.

look at 57011 going bang. and the number of their 86's that magically caught fire....

The 'mystery' of the spontaneously combusting 86s was put down to power surges, which the old machines couldn't handle. Most of the locos which burnt went in the same approximate area as far as I'm aware.
