444s on Wareham services

Noticed SWT have been using 444s instead of some 450s on the wareham to Brockenhurst services over the last few weeks anyone know why as it seems a waste to me.

aye does seem a waste, seeing as there are those slammer things that they could be using instead ;)

Thats area 51 and the photo is nearly 12 months old 8)
450's are supposed to replace VEPs as outer suburban units and shouldn't be allowed past Basingstoke during daylight hours

450's Got used yesterday on:

Wareham - Brokenhurst (A 444 on 1/3 diagrams yesterday)
London Waterloo - Basingstoke
London Waterloo - Alton
London Waterloo - Windsor
London Waterloo - Hounslow Loop
London Waterloo - Portsmouth VIA BASINGSTOKE
London Waterloo - Southampton (stopper) (444 on 1655 ex Soton)
Southampton - Weymouth (1656 ex Soton)
