59/66 Fuel tanks?

Hi all,

Who and where would fit fuel tanks to class 59's or 66's? I ask because i was sat on the quay down Southampton docks this week waiting for a container and noticed 3-4 flat rack containers each with 2 fuel tanks on them making for 6-8 tanks in total, seems a lotta fuel tanks to order in one go!

Just wondered where they would end up?

Depends who ordered them! If it was DBS (who do have 250 class 66s on lease remember), I'd say they'd be headed for Toton, if it was DRS I'd say Carlisle, you get the point I'm sure. Given that here are only fifteen class 59s worldwide and they have larger tanks than the 66s, I'd say they are likely class 66 fuel tanks, unless 67s use the same style tanks.

Class 67 fuel tanks are not the same as class 66's, and there are two different sizes of class 66 tank too...
