Why is the voyager being dragged? :?

Although the 2-car 221 as worked alone around central rivers on the final leg of last years charity charter around the depots lines, I think its not allowed under its own power on the mainline like that. (It was/(still is?) fitted with a compressor in one of the luggage areas which enabled it to move alone).

Im sure someone with clarifiy.

I didn't realise there was a 2 car Voyager around. Why is that?
When Arriva gained the Crosscountry franchise Virgin were allocated three 4-carriage 221s, 221142-144. They reformed two of these into five carriage trains so that they matched the main part of Virgins' fleet using the two intermediate carriages from the third unit. This left just the two driving cars from 221144.
