It is something id known about for a while - and seems to be gradually happening to the ex DRS Freightliner 66 fleet with i think 2 / 3 66s now modified and reliveried into the Powerhaul colours - Interestingly, they seem to be going out to Poland in DRS's livery and undergoing a repaint there...

Are these locomotives surplus to requirements here due to reduced traffic flows (recession etc) or displaced by other units or electric haulage?

Has the old number on the front but 66013 on the side? Strange.

What happened to ex EWS 66013 then?

It (and others) have been withdrawn following the introduction of Class 70s.

Interesting that the polish locos retain the yellow front, orange warning stripe, and those electric shock warning (yellow triangle) stickers required in Britain.

Are any of these ever likely to be repatriated?
