Most of us have probably seen those green 'Eddie Stobart' lorries on the motorway at some point but now the common livery is to be put on some of DRS's Class 66 locomotives! Here's a quote from The Railway Centre.
The Railway Centre.com said:Direct Rail Services Class 66/4 No. 66411, one of the new locos recently delivered from EMDD in Canada, is to be branded in Eddie Stobart livery for operation on the new Eddie Stobart railfreight flow for Tesco due to commece in August. The painting and branding work is to be undertaken at Alstom Glasgow Works.
The new Stobart flow for Tesco, will see a daily service (Monday-Friday) from Tesco's main distribution centre in Daventry to its Scottish distribution base in Coatbridge. The trains will be formed of 26 containers all painted in a new joint Tesco/Stobart livery.
Two other DRS 66s are also expected to receive Stobart colours.
