Would taking holiday a couple of weeks after signalling school finishes be allowed/frowned upon?

Week three into week four is the period that contains 6 shifts in 7 days, Thu 12days, Fri 12days, Sat 12days Sun off, Mon 12nights, Tue 12nights, Wed 12nights.
Is it just me or is this roster missing a Sunday day turn 06:00-1800?
Hi desrudy.
Think if you sign into your network rail account and click full list it will show a new vacancy which you have been assigned to. That's what's happened to mine.
Congratulations ladThank you to everyone that has posted on this forum it really is a great forum for all information regarding the signalling role. I am over the moon today as I have been offered a job at WMSC, can’t wait to start and just reading through the contract and other things this weekend!
Yeah all the lads who went to York and got accepted are at this same stageWhat is written for u , because except this one which appeared one week ago :
OA LOM York Out-Stations2 (107430) G4 York, GB Formal Offer Sent
i have not seen any new vacancy .
Or maybe in fact it's this one
I know one lad who applied, and got a grade 3 job on his 5th day of employment !
is that not frowned upon by your LOM? They have then got to go out and replace you quite quickly! Or is it more acceptable than that.
Also on a separate note for those interested in general - there is a bit of a recruitment freeze until May. I asked recruitment and it’s unclear how that will affect signaller roles however I’m sure many will have noticed that there is a massively reduced list on the careers site at the moment!
I did find it bizarre almost- how many vacancies were up late last year for such a good job. Feels like a kind of one-offis that not frowned upon by your LOM? They have then got to go out and replace you quite quickly! Or is it more acceptable than that.

I’ve not heard about a recruitment freeze, no way they can keep that up in the signaller grade we’re so short.
At our place the level crossing link (6 people) has seen a constant flow of people over the last two years, with only two long termers being in it more than 6 months.
If you work hard, dedicate time after school hours to study and take the whole thing seriously you will almost certainly pass. If you treat the 3 months as a bit of a holiday, have a few beers after school every day and don't do any revision then you may have some difficulty.Any advice or thoughts regarding York signaller school ?
Anyone any idea how many get through the course? ie pass rate?

Recruitment ban on band 1-4 posts until May is on a pre-recorded message on the recruitment call centre. I’m not sure how bands translates into signallers grades though? I had an email today letting me know that one of two basically identical crossing keeper roles had been withdrawn and the other is still running! Luckily I put in for both but I’m now in fear of the other one closing!! Of course I would then still need to get an interview...!
interesting! With everyone moving up the grades?

I’m sorry to hear that, that’s the right view to take dont give up !
There will be more jobs at Wales ROC over the next year, they may be grade two fixed term contracts initially, but EVERYONE who has been taken on FTC are still here and in higher grade jobs.
