A couple of hours spare at Darlington Station

Will have a couple of hours to kill here tomorrow and was wondering which is the best platform (and end) to stand on to get some decent photos.

Platform 1, Southern end towards York direction you will get the avoiding line there.

there isnt much uses the avoiders these days

south end but darlington was generally obliterated photo wise a few years ago. Not much going on but couple of IEP runs you might see etc

If you've got time go up to Thirsk or Northallerton better still. You'll get stuff that comes off or goes to Tees then too.
