i've had enough of pacers now! still for £2.60 it's a really cheap, good value ticket and the bus option is only a pound or so more.
northern's 323s are still in good nick, clean inside and out, as are their 150s. Victoria station is a bit run down still(and full of pacers)but it's suprising to see small stations like victoria and salford crescent with despatch staff.
i had a lunch break at the stalybridge buffet bar. very good and cheap, a bacon barm, two pints of real ale, a bag of crisps and a can of coke for six quid!
i think as well GMPTE should go along the way of WYPTE and print a trains services guide, that would be helpful.
