i'm going to list the trains i've travelled on first:

0640 leicester to nottingham, 156410
0742 nottingham to manchester piccadilly, 170104
0947 manchester piccadilly to hattersley, 323231
1008 hattersley to guide bridge, 323223
1048 guide bridge to romiley, 150141
1111 romiley to manchester piccadilly, 142064
1215 manchester piccadilly to stalybridge, 158796
1302 stalybridge to manchester victoria, 142029
1333 manchester victoria to rochdale(via castleton), 142051
1402 rochdale to manchester victoria(via oldham), 142051
1441 manchester victoria to wigan wallgate, 142058
1548 wigan wallgate to salford crescent, 142035
1625 salford crescent to man picc, 158 unknown (in same colours as my avatar)
1642 man picc to sheffield, 170106
1824 sheffield to scunthorpe, 158793

i've had enough of pacers now! still for £2.60 it's a really cheap, good value ticket and the bus option is only a pound or so more.

northern's 323s are still in good nick, clean inside and out, as are their 150s. Victoria station is a bit run down still(and full of pacers)but it's suprising to see small stations like victoria and salford crescent with despatch staff.

i had a lunch break at the stalybridge buffet bar. very good and cheap, a bacon barm, two pints of real ale, a bag of crisps and a can of coke for six quid!

i think as well GMPTE should go along the way of WYPTE and print a trains services guide, that would be helpful.

Sounds a busy day out. You must of missed me, Yorkie and Jordy by minutes at Manchester. We caught the 09:28 ATW to Crewe. Also, you beat me into Scunthorpe by about 2 hours.....
