A have never understood why the Romford-Upminster shuttle was not taken over by the District Line and extended to Cranham? This would have given the Cranham folk a direct link to Romford shopping centre and three alternative routes to London. Now of course it's too late for the District to have it so the very least that could be done would be to wire up 51 road into the depot at 25kv and use 22 and 23 roads north of the sheds for a station.
Probably hear howls of protest due to cost but it is feasable. May even be possible to see a 315 stabled at Cranham overnight
