Hi folks,

What are the valid routes one could use on a Acton Main Line to Barking ticket? I was hoping to go for a last run on the 'GOBLIN' before it shuts for electrification, can it be used Acton Main Line - Paddington - Highbury and Islington (tube) - Gospel Oak - Barking?

NRE isn't putting that as a valid route on a paper ticket, but if you use Oyster/Contactless, the TFL website on the single fare finder page gives the following as a valid route avoiding zone 1:
via Ealing Broadway, Shepherd's Bush, Willesden Junction and Gospel Oak, which at off-peak times is £1.50, £2.40 at peak times.

Another alternative with oyster/contactless, is 266 bus to Willesden junction, then north london line to gospel oak.

If you really want a paper ticket, and can get to Acton Central, a ticket from there to Barking would be valid via Gospel Oak (and there are even "via Gospel Oak" tickets).

The problem with Acton Main Line tickets is they look for routes to and from central London, and Fenchurch Street and Liverpool Street are much more convenient for Barking than Moorgate is.
