I know we don't get any discount on London Underground but if we pay extra can we get it added onto our priv card. Currently travelling to Kings Cross from Wimbledon and using the priv card to Waterloo and then using contactless for each underground trip. I'm sure there must be a better and cheaper way?

Not really no. You can only use the Underground as part of a through journey. So you could buy a Wimbledon - Finsbury Park ticket to use the Underground to Kings Cross... but not anything else I'm afraid!
Some operators give all their staff a PRIV discounted Oyster card, I believe this is only Great Northern and Thameslink but there are probably more.

Kentish Town to Shepherds Bush is routed +ANY PERMITTED and is £1.45 with a PRIV (single).

Shepherds Bush can be replaced with many other destinations (Kensington Olympia etc).

That will give you a central London transfer.

There is also a cheaper Limehouse LTS to Clockhouse single ticket routed +NOT VIA LONDON, but that might need someone else to explain why it has a cross London marker if it's not valid. Regardless, the presence of the (+) will let you through the barriers.

At a guess it gives validity on the DLR to Lewisham then Southeastern to Clock House.

I believe this also includes VTEC and Eurostar. VTEC is currently renegotiating with TfL or the discounts end at the end of April (the previous agreement deliberately went a little over the franchise change date).

I believe that the agreement that led to that happening ended with the FCC franchise.

The current VTEC agreement only benefits VTEC staff who both live and work in greater London. Whatever agreement Eurostar staff benefit from, they still buy paper Priv season tickets for travel entirely on London underground.

Have you ever thought of just using Thameslink- I know its much longer but gets rid of all the hassle of looking for best solution.

I'm guessing it was renewed (it run until a month or so after the end of the franchise) as the TfL staff benefits on those routes have been extended.

Does it? I wonder who specifies that? TfL staff are permitted their side of the bargain so long as they live along (or connect into) the VTEC route.
