Hi,
I'm looking to travel Outbound Wed 23rd Dec and returning Sun 27rd Dec ( sadly no choice but to travel XC from the Midlands to the North East ). I can get Advance tickets for the 23rd but not the 27th ( have tried all TOC websites and Trainsplit/Raileasy ). None of the websites will sell an Off Peak Return either. I'm only sold tickets for the outbound journey. Obviously I would like to book tickets ASAP so as to secure a reserved seat. Would anyone have a rough idea when tickets for the period covering the 27th will be released ?

Well, Avanti have said 14th December for their trains and it appears looking at CrossCountry website they are working to 2 weeks ahead for weekends, so it looks like 14th December-ish looks like a reasonable guestimate. Just one of those things you have to keep an eye on.
