Hi, apologies if this is covered before elsewhere, I couldn't find anything. Hopefully this a straightforward yes or no. Is the ALR valid on the 10:00 out of Kings Cross up to Scotland. I think not as the restriction says until 10:00 and not 09:559

I would suggest that the 1000 service to Aberdeen is ok.

All Line Rover not valid (inter alia) for boarding LNER services before 1000 at London Kings Cross (Mon-Fri).

Extract.
The All Line Rail Rover is NOT valid for boarding or alighting train services operated by Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, or LNER before 10:00 Mondays to Fridays at the following stations (including London Kings Cross).

Hi. Yes, it is valid, since every time Ive done an All Line Rover Ive used this train, as its the first available!(unless youre only going as far as Doncaster, then the 0944 Hull Trains service can be used!)

It's unusually worded as it says mustn't board the train before 10am (nothing about departure time)

As worded it becomes a problem if doors close few seconds before 10am because it is not then valid.

Not sure why boarding time has been specified rather than scheduled to depart time.

Probably 'boarding' is just intended to mean the opposite of 'alighting', which would, I think, mean that you couldn't use an ALR on the 0656 LNER midweek service from Skipton as far as London Kings Cross, as it's due to arrive London at 0959, although you could possibly validly use the ALR and alight at Peterborough at 0906 (last stop on the same train before London Kings Cross).

Yes, I've used an ALR on that service from Shipley and alighted at Peterborough
