:?: Understand that a 7 day All Zones Travelcard from Haywards Heath to London R1256 is priced at £93.60 per week just now.

From quite a few stations further out on the Sussex Coast to London, the price seems to be £101.70 per week.

To get some extra benefit as regards reverse travel away from London, how far on the Southern network can you actually get by paying the £8.10 extra?

Also, is the easement for season ticket holders from south of Three Bridges to/from London to travel free on the East Grinstead/Uckfield lines still in place?

Well it depends what works for you really in terms of where you buy your season from.

The Southern zonal Season Ticket pricing means that all stations from Preston Park to Brighton/Bognor Regis/Littlehampton/Portsmouth/Southampton and also Lewes to Seaford/Ashford have "Zones R1256 London" season tickets for £101.70.

However once you go west of Barnham (i.e. all stations between Chichetser and Portsmouth/Southampton), the £101.70 priced tickets alters from Any Permitted to Southern Only, to take into account the alternative SWT routes that also operate in the area. The same occurs once you go east of Bexhill, the £101.70 priced season ticket alters from Any Permitted to Rte Haywards Heath to obviously take into account the alternative South Eastern routes in the area.

So really you have the choice of buying your ticket from an extremity like Southampton Central or Ashford International which gives you some extra validity that you may use occasionally however you must bear in mind that purchasing a ticket from one of the extremities could reduce your validity on the section of the season ticket you use the most (i.e. if you purchased a Southampton Central to Zones R1256 London season ticket, you would no longer be able to use FCC service from/to Haywards Heath).

Also, is the easement for season ticket holders from south of Three Bridges to/from London to travel free on the East Grinstead/Uckfield lines still in place?

Yes this easement is still in place.

:D Thanks Glynn80 for the detailed response, in particular as regards the issue arising as regards tickets originating from west of Barnham, and thanks also for the supplementary information you copied me into the other week (via PM) as regards the price of Dual Route Available season tickets, including for example, Haywards Heath (also available at Horsham) to London Travelcard Zone R1256, which is also priced at £93.60.
