No, it is just south of Newton Abbot, within 300m.

The red blob being Newton Abbot station and the Blue dot being Aller Bridge. Accesible from the main road to Torbay

You just have to be more imaginative. I find corners better for taking pictures than plain straight track. Try to find somewhere maybe slightly elevated over the height of the trains, and on the outside of a corner if possible.

And this is 30miles from where I live......... but well worth the train ride up there for a sunny afternoon photoshoot
