Despite having the day above, I'm expecting a lot of people to read 'Date Event Runs From 01/08 to 03/08/2025' and turn up to the wrong date or all three of them.

Like you I purchased a family ticket from Mortons. An hour ago See Tickets sent me 2 adult tickets, but so far there's no sign of the 2 child tickets I am owed. Perhaps you and me should meet up on the day!
I'm thinking of waiting a few days to see if See Tickets send me the 2 child tickets.
Hi @317362. See Tickets have now sent me the 2 child tickets I was owed.

I've got one set of tickets frim SeeTickets (presumably from the second attempt where I actually got a Mortons booking confirmation email), but nothing so far from my first attempt where I got the PayPal receipt but no confirmation.

That's good, nothing yet but have asked and will update here for anyone in same position. See you there!
I bought my tickets from Mortons last Friday. No confirmation and no tickets. But they took the money ok!

I've contacted Greatest Gathering via X who told me that someone would be in touch. Yet here we are... nearly one week later and absolutely nothing! Starting to lose patience now!

I wonder how many people they need to reply to!
This is only 4 working days after the issue.
I know it doesn’t help you, but I imagine that have a lot of emails to respond to.

From the FAQ:

Those who bought tickets on Friday, 31 January through our original provider will receive their tickets from our new ticketing partner by Friday, 14 February at the latest. This is an automatic process and there is nothing for you to do in addition at this time.

No need to be impatient until after the 14th!

Did anyone else get a blank email from See Tickets with the subject ‘Alstom presents The Great Gathering’ which has no text, nor any attachments?

Hi ACBest, the same happened to me. Just go to See Tickets website and go to the Customer Support option and you can view your order or use the Retrieve Confirmation Email option. I got the confirmation email sent again and it worked fine with the eticket attached.

I have not bought a ticket yet but also ....

... on my mind, how will we get 10,000 rail enthusiasts to Derby, most of whom will want to travel by rail! Is there anything out there about any extra services etc. being put on. It would very much encapsulate the modern railway to not provide extra capacity and have people unable to get to the event!

How many attended the Toton open day back in 1998, also Crewe open days early 2000's? One of my visits was when Co-Bo D5705 was there on the lift.

For Toton I used the train Birmingham New Street <> Derby then the special train Derby <> Toton.
While 27 years ago so could have forgotten I don't recall major overcrowding but now Birmingham New Street <> Derby services are often loaded beyond capacity and this is a peak holiday travel weekend.

Driving to Tamworth or Burton aside from a potential parking problem does not help as the trains are the same Birmingham New Street <> Derby services.
The only other option I can think of is driving to East Midlands Parkway. The current timetable shows the direct service to Derby is only hourly though.

I do recall for one Barrow Hill open day perching on a Voyager luggage rack from Birmingham New Street to at least to Derby if not the whole journey to Chesterfield.

The same happened to me too, and I also did the above process, and now have my tickets :)

Just heard that 46115 "Scots Guardsman" is going to be there, maybe I might have to get a hotel...

My second pair have now arrived so all sorted. Haven't heard back from customer services but they have popped through.

Yes, also looks as though 91110, a 93, a 60 and a JNA-T wagon all expected to be there too.

Just out of curiosity, does everyone’s tickets have a picture of a pair of locos on? Just being a tad paranoid after talk online of scammers.

I have tickets - I can walk in from home in 20 minutes so it was a bit of a no-brainier. I appreciate there’s likely to be lots more to come, but to date I’m a bit disappointed as the vehicles list seems rather lacklustre…
The Greatest Gathering promises to showcase iconic vehicles from the past, present and future of Britain’s railways.
Far from them being the ”iconic” line up that is being promoted and I was hoping for, so far the announced attendees seem to be any old clunkers owners and train companies are willing to offer.

I’ve booked tickets. My real highlights of the locos/units announced so far are the 93 and 507. I’m defiantly hoping they will put an AC electric locomotive there as well, possibly LSL’s Class 87. That would be very cool!

Just had a look at the lineup, wasn't it meant to be the Rail 200 Pendolino (390 200/016) instead of the Pride one (390 119)? Either way, a pendos a pendo so I'm not complaining.
