Got the WTT for the SRPS Glenrothes - Llandudno tour, I know most of the annotations in the times but I haven't a clue what E stands for.

For example. (All times fictional)

O = Operational (Like a token exchange)
Strathcarron 16O46 16O48

C = Crew Change
Carlisle 09C32 09C34

E = No idea!
Preston 18E34 18E39

Any ideas?

Just looked at two paper WTT books that were handy (one from the 70s, one from 2003), and in both 'E' indicates a stop for the purposes of examination!

Hmm. Turns out I misread the timetable, it says AE at two points with an approx 20min stop at that station

I'm not convinced E should be in there, the A is for regulation and allowing other trains to pass.
