Saturday 17th August.
Went for a drive and ended up at WSR Minehead station where I spent an hour. Then back home to the flower show where on display was the model railway of my hometown old disused station-WIVELISCOMBE that used to be on the taunton to Barnstaple line.

Nothing of interest except a brewery, and a coop.

This weekend was the usual visit to the West Somerset Railway since it’s local. I need to get out somewhere else. Considering doing a 3 day Freedom of Severn and Solent Rover early September but at £63 it’s £20 dearer than my flight to Ibiza, and the £63 is half of the hotel cost.

Suppose I could get to cardiff for the 37s.

Well this hobby can be a pain at times.

Had decided that Saturday would be spent behind Hymek D7018 on the WSR for its entire 80 mile diagrams and now plans have changed due to finding out there is 2 LNER HST’s down to Plymouth.

October - weekend in Ibiza, WSR steam gala, SVR Diesel gala

Plenty opportunities for haulage and photography.

Spent the weekend at vintage bus events,

Saturday 31 August

Seaton bus running day (Devon) where I also had a ride on the Seaton tramway.

Then back to Taunton to see the class 47 hauled Railtour returning from Paignton.

Sunday 1st September

Weston super Mare “coaches to the seaside” event, and a visit to the helicopter museum.

Saturday 7th September should see me finally clearing the line between Taunton and WSR Bishops Lydeard thanks to the GWR Saturday shuttles.
