Are light engine convoys of six locos or more now designated as Class 6?

First I've heard of it and I'm not sure if it's a rule or a local instruction - the only loco convoys on my patch tend to be five or fewer.

I thought they went as 0X if they where over five due to weight restrictions.

EWS as well now DB have/had dispensation to run more than 5 Class 66 as Class 0 with no X-Ray.

We’ve a regular light engine move which can run with as many as 9 under 0C** headcode.
