To what extent are TOCs responsible for inaccurate info on NRE when part of the through journey is the responsibility of a third party?
NRE reports that the last service from London to Hunstanton By Bus on weekdays is:
d. 21:14 King's Cross
a. 22:56 King's Lynn
-- CHANGE TO BUS SERVICE --
d. 23:15 King's Lynn (from the railway station apparently, not the bus station, which is a 5 minute walk away)
a. 23:57 Hunstanton.
A through single Anytime ticket is £37.90. The equivalent ticket to Lynn is £34.60.
The bus operator (Norfolk Green, a good independent operator that, sadly, recently sold out to Stagecoach with predictable consequences for the service) now has a timetable that says the last bus of the night to Hunstanton on weekdays departs from the bus station (not the railway station) at 21:30.
This means travellers relying on NRE catching the KGX departures at 20:14, 20:44 and 21:14 will be waiting for bus services that no longer exist.
So, what are the chances that stranded travellers forced to order taxis from King's Lynn to Hunstanton (16 miles away) would be reimbursed by Great Northern?
