Ashchurch MOD Depot

[Western Sunset]

Anyone know when the last train served this depot? Approach track still in situ, but rails don't look like they've seen any traffic in a while.

Thank you Roger; very interesting.

I noticed that there was old bullhead track on wooden sleepers up to the MOD boundary, then modern flat bottom on concrete sleepers beyond and into the depot itself.

Was very surprised to see a working into Ashchurch MOD this morning. It was a GBRf 66 propelling a rake of flatbed vehicle wagons with various army vehicles, having come from Marchwood. Speed must have been 5mph and two guys in orange walked ahead of the train. Quite a few of the passengers waiting for the 0705 to Weymouth were surprised and got pictures on phones etc, and I noticed at least one man there just for photos, so could be online somewhere.
