Passengers cram onto Adelaide trains following fault, despite social distancing requirements
The number of Adelaide rail services currently operating has been slashed after a mechanical fault was identified, resulting in remaining trains becoming packed with passengers.
Fifty of the 70 diesel engines have been taken out of commission for inspection after a problem was reported on Wednesday.

Services on the Outer Harbor, Gawler and Belair lines will now run half-hourly, while Grange rail services are being replaced by buses.

The fault is with the replacement engines on 3000/3100 class railcars. An issue with the turbo in them.
In the time since they've gained back 8.
