Lancaster is nearly done, just the larger signage to go.
Do you mean what's known as the Cant Rail? There's still a small yellow strip just above the front window on the First Class end. Granted, it's not the easiest to see.

No, between the front cab window and the cant rail stripe is a yellow strip. Hard to tell, but look closely at the last image on post 108.That's orange and it's a cant rail as required under railway standards.

I hope you don't mean what looks like a thin stripe above the drivers front window?
I think anything is possible now we know passengers can mistake an A on a logo near solebar level with a coach designation.Oh, so you do mean this one. A bit tough for a passenger to spot don't you think?
I was not commenting on ease of use, simply the fact that an indication was there (like yellow coupler covers on XC Voyagers).Oh, so you do mean this one. A bit tough for a passenger to spot don't you think?
Not quite so obvious as this (courtesy of Wikipedia):

I can't see any reason why "marketing" people think it's OK to brand stuff and cause confusion.
So the first time you saw an Apple Store with the logo on it you thought it was a fruit store ?
Do you mean what's known as the Cant Rail?
Cheeky. It was a complete apple until I took a bite out of it.
There’s even an Avanti dog bowl. No, there's no VTWC branding left, and there's Avanti posters and I think an Avanti CCTV sign. The staff also all have Avanti uniforms. There are some things which I think will be Avanti branded which are not branded at all at present (e.g. station signs on the platforms).
The ticket gate barriers at Glasgow Central low level have the Avanti logo on them. Not sure why as I highly doubt platform 16 or 17 will be seeing any of their trains!
Yes there is. Not the side window, the front window.
And people said Virgin overbranded. There’s even an Avanti dog bowl.

Indeed, the Avanti Pendolinos would look so good where it not for the TWO Avanti West Coast logos on the driving cars! They didn't. The Virgin logo was quite understated, really.
Avanti have the same branding more than once on each coach, which definitely is overbranded and looks really tacky. Typical First, with the (f) everywhere, really, similar to SWR - is it the same design house?
