Bachman MPV Flaw?...does anyone elses do this....

Hi all.
Got a Bachman MPV last month and Ive noticed that the hook under the coupling is very low, its so low it catches on tome of my points and derails a lot, does anyone elses do this and how do i overcome the problem?
