Bachmann's five new DCC sound ready models:

Class 20 Diesel D8113 BR Green With Discs/Tablet Catcher & Snow Plough
Class 25/3 25095 Revised BR Blue Livery
Class 55 D9007 Pinza Two Tone Green
Class 66 Diesel 66022 Lafarge Charnwood EWS
Class 47 Diesel 47404 Hadrian BR Blue/F/Yellow Ends 4 Digit H/Code

I'm interested in purchasing the class 20 (D8113). Are there any class 20 owners amongst us who would recomend the model? Other than Bachmann's catalouge images, i am unable to locate any other images that i could judge the detail of the model for myself.

Interesting speculation, that i think is worse than my passion for 444s. Somehow i think Tom would challenge that to me however!

Hell yeah is that your photo? I can't help but notice a bit of a wonky buffer on the left.

Prices for the 20 and 66 have been released by Bachmann:

Class 20 Diesel D8113 - £133.85
Class 66 Diesel 66022 - £157.50

That is alot more than I expected for a 'sound ready' model, you could purchase three 20s alone with £130! The question i put forwards is, why does it cost so much for a 'sound ready' model and what would be the cheapest way for installing sound yourself?

That 40 does look pretty hellfire, is it the lower bogie profile model?
The ying has been released and is selling at about £125.

Do you not look at other model shops? Hardly any shops these days sell at full RRP....

Yes of course, but to quote the price right where else are shops going to valuate the price of their models? ;)

Latest on the availibilty of Bachmann's 'Sound Ready' models.

www.ehattons.com has recently gone and put an order in for D9007 "Pinza", the price is to be arranged and it is unknown when the models will arrive. I am lead to believe that Bachmann are afterall set to release D9007 next. With Bachmann releasing their range on Wednesday, anything can go. Any other details or information please, share and let us know.

I had a look into the ESU sound decoders that they use and the whole sound package is really just under £100, so your getting quite a bargin with a model too! Still no news on Pinza, im thinking next year?

Why do you think next year, bit impatient , its Bachmann after all!

The SWD sound is better than the bachmann cheap SWD in my view.
