Presenting the London Underground S Stock
29/05/2015
Bachmann Europe Plc is pleased to announce a new OO scale model of a London Underground S Stock train made exclusively for the London Transport Museum. Available as a motorised set comprising 4 cars; 2 motorised driving cars and 2 trailer cars. Additional trailer cars are available to authentically complete either S7 or S8 formations.
London Underground are replacing all sub-surface trains on the Metropolitan, Circle, Hammersmith & City and District lines with these new trains designed and built by Bombardier at their Derby works. The train design is state of the art, featuring air conditioning and 'walk through' carriages.
The models incorporate a number of great features including newly designed low-level drive mechanism, illuminated destination indicators, working directional lighting, 21pin DCC socket, provision for DCC sound, innovative close coupling system and fully detailed interior.
You can pre-order these models now by visiting http://www.ltmuseumshop.co.uk/models/s-stock.html On Saturday 26th September 2015, the London Transport Museum will be offering the first 300 pre-order customers the opportunity to travel on a special S Stock excursion from Moorgate to Watford and Amersham with the train returning to Moorgate.
