Does the Bakers Coaches fleet retain any coaches that used to be operated by Niddries Coaches, who Bakers took over a few years ago? I seem to recall Niddries only had one modern coach, two very old coaches and a couple of medium age coaches.

They kept two vehicles for about a year

ESK841 (ex E356EVH) sold to JP Travel, Middleton
ESK697 (ex F219RJX) sold to Jones of Llanerchymedd

Thanks.

I recall them having 5 coaches, the two mentioned
this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pityarder/4280035326/
and an even older one - something like a W reg (when the reg appeared at the end of the number plate) with blue seats and it was slightly smaller coach than the others. I imagine these two will have been scrapped by now.

But there was also a newer one then the 4 mentioned, I can't remember the type or registration but Walkers Coaches of Northwich had some of them as well. Was that one sold or was it destroyed in the fire they had?

I remember when Niddries had another DAF coach with the ESK 841 registration that they offloaded around the time they acquired E356 EVH.

Also Google-ing Niddries brought up this strange bus which I seem to recall they also offloaded the coach mentioned above

AS far as I can see only the two vehicle I listed actually passed to Bakers.

Other vehicles run by Niddires at the end (2007) were

BCA992W
HUI4560 (ex E733TWU)
A732LFR

the Caetano vehicle you show was C347LVV but this was sold in 1999

That'd be the older one I was thinking of. It would have been similar (not identical) to this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22455491@N02/2558871645/

It used to show 'Blackpool' on it's blind underneath the windscreen all the time, until it had some work done on it, which saw the blind removed.

And the one that they used with the registration plate KSU 410 for most of it's life at Niddries.

HUI4560 (ex E733TWU)

Was that one similar to this coach: http://www.flickr.com/photos/41302931@N03/5758468003/

If it is then it would be fifth coach I was thinking of.

JVH974W was a Ward Dalesman ! BCA992W was a Bedford YMQ, but both had Plaxton Supreme bodies yes.

Similarly E733TWU was a Scania, H621BCA was a Volvo but both had Plaxton Paramount 3 bodies

Looking for something else in Middlewich I just did a Google Streetview of 44 Lewin Street and noticed this coach is there http://www.oxford-chiltern-bus-page...IG5013 OXPENS 13TH MAY 2006 Gavin Francis.jpg
and it looks like the man between the door and the open luggage door (on Google Streetview) is Philip Niddrie.

Was that some coach they acquired on a temporary basis? It's not branded at all and looks like it's got the company registration details on a printed piece of paper stuck on the door.
