Hi guys,

So I'm new to this whole train driving stuff but I have a huge interest in being one. I have looked over so many websites and courses to take on being a train driver but I am unfortunately getting no luck.

Is there anything I could do to particularly help me persue this career dream of mine?

I've tried trainee vacancies, nothing.
I've tried apprenticeship, nothing.
I've looked on government / TFL website and I can't find any information about it, I've called them up but got me nowhere.

I'm running out of luck unfortunately and I really would love for this to be my career job..

My location: East London
Desired Work: Train Driver (Anywhere in London for any company, C2C / London Underground / TFL Overground, you name it)

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

(sorry if I have posted in the wrong place)

C2C advertised for part time trainee mainline drivers earlier in the year. Anglia are moving back towards drawing drivers from depots on the east side. West side will likely come up again soon enough. Underground. No chance for ages. Overground recruitment is on hold. TfL rail likely have enough applicants backed up to last a good while.
