Dear All,
I have to travel to Eindhoven for a few days in early November.
What would people recommend as to how this trip can be done so that it's moderately interesting? Getting the absolutely cheapest route isn't required but whatever's chosen shouldn't be excessive compared to other options.
Options I've identified so far are:
1 - Stena landbridge. Ferry to Cairnryan, drive to Newcastle, ferry to IJmuiden and then drive to Eindhoven.
2 - Fly Belfast to Amsterdam and then the train from Schipol to Eindhoven.
3a - Fly to London, then Eurostar to Amsterdam Central and then the train from there to Eindhoven.
3b - Fly to London, then Eurostar to Brussels and then the train from there to Eindhoven.
The trip outwards will be at anytime, the only restriction is arriving not too late.
The return trip will start in the early afternoon.
My current thoughts are that 3a for the way out would be interesting as I've never taken to Eurostar to Amsterdam and to look for a flight option home. i think this would maximise the rail travel during daylight.
Any ideas or suggestions please?
Cheers,
Mr Toad
